Vocalink is a premier multilingual translation and interpretation company providing services for fortune 500 companies
Job Summary:
This role is for that of a highly autonomous and experienced professional with advanced linguistic skills in both Spanish and English. Under minimal direction, plans his/her translation workload to complete projects with very tight deadlines.
Potential candidates will need to show evidence of the following:
• fluency in two or more languages
• a good understanding and in-depth knowledge of language/country-specific cultures – ‘localization’.
• subject matter knowledge
• excellent writing and grammatical skills
• attention to detail combined with the ability to work quickly to meet deadlines
• the ability to use your initiative in a commercial context
• proficiency in the use of a range of computer packages, including a knowledge of translation-oriented applications and software
• self-motivation
• an eagerness for acquiring new knowledge
• Able to work autonomously
• Focused and willing to work in a quasi-isolated environment
Translator might work on the following types of documents:
• scientific
• technical
• commercial
• legal
• educational
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from a Spanish speaking country – must be able to show credentials. If you are a foreign national, you must have lived in the United States a minimum of eight years.
