Amelia Rodriguez started in 1995 as a freelance interpreter, growing the business into a leading force in interpretation and translating industry–Vocalink Language Services.
As a certified minority business enterprise and women owned business, Vocalink Language Services provides translation and interpreting services to global companies, targeting ethnic markets.
Rodriguez’s extensive business experience and a commitment to client relations has grown the firm from one entrepreneur’s dream to full-time employment of fourteen employees and employs over one hundred contract employees worldwide.
Having studied at Michigan State University, with an emphasis in Spanish and French language studies, Amelia is now the president and CEO of Vocalink Language Services—connecting businesses with their ethnic and global markets.
Awards and Accolades
Recently, Amelia Rodriguez, CEO and president of Vocalink Language Services, was selected as a 2009 Women’s Business Enterprise Star representing the Ohio River Valley.
Rodriguez was also ranked among Ohio’s top 50 women-owned businesses for 2006 by DiversityBusiness.com and named Woman Business Owner of the Month (November 2004) by National City Corp.
The Ohio Hispanic Chambers of Commerce’s (OHCC) named Amelia Rodriguez, CEO of Vocalink Language Services as their Emerging Hispanic Businessperson of the Year in 2003.
